New Foals Born
We have eagerly awaited news of the arrival of Gr1 winning speed horse King’s Apostle’s first foals. Veronica Foulkes reported earlier this week of the birth of a "solid, strong, well made, good sized" colt by King’s Apostle out of World’s Best, 3 time winning half sister to the horse that Buddy Maroun and all Gauteng racegoers affectionately called "Goofy" - the star sprinter Golden Loom, Equus Champion Older Male 1998 & 2000, winner of 22 races. World’s Best has had 7 winners from 8 runners including stakes winner of 11 races Byblos.
Varsfontein report a superb first foal by Captain Al out of Wintersweet. The mare is an own sister to Grace Me Guide (Western Winter) who produced a superb Dynasty colt (also at Varsfontein) last week. Wintersweet is a half sister to stakes winners Robert The Bruce and M’Lords Throat.
